The Impact of Dual-Dimensional Health Education Path Based on Psychological Resilience and Social Support on Wound Management in Patients with Diabetic Foot Ulcers

Mina Li graduated from Shanxi Medical University and engaged in clinical teaching for 19 years. She participated in the writing of many papers and projects. She is a wound stoma specialist nurse in Shanxi Province. She is a member of the Chronic Disease Management Branch of Shanxi Geriatrics Association and serves on several academic committees.

Objective：To explore the influence mechanism of psychological resilience and social support on wound management in patients with type 2 diabetic foot ulcer ( DFU ), and to construct a two-dimensional personalized health education path to improve the prognosis of patients. Results : Methods A randomized controlled trial was conducted to divide 120 patients with DFU into intervention group ( n = 60, two-dimensional intervention ) and control group ( n = 60, routine health education ). The wound healing rate, self-management behavior ( DSMQ-SF ), psychological resilience ( CD-RISC-10 ) and social support level ( SSRS ) were compared between the two groups within 6 months. Conclusion : Results The wound healing rate ( 76.7 % vs 53.3 %, P < 0.05 ) and self-management behavior score ( 24.5 ± 3.2 vs 18.7 ± 4.1, P < 0.01 ) in the intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the improvement of psychological resilience and social support level was more significant.
